Our Byzantine studio preserves the ancient techniques of the handcrafted mosaic decorations using both Byzantine glass and marble. Our graphic computer center introduces modern techniques to translate images and their interpretation into colorful mosaics.
Materials- This can be Natural Stones, Smalto glass (Vitreous glass) and Byzantine Smalti. Gold may also be used and of course affects the price if the project requires. Our main medium is Byzantine Smalti which is used especially in custom art work. We discuss the Byzantine Smalti process in the following section.
Size – This can encompass anywhere from a couple square feet to something that is several thousand square feet. Design- The complexity of design and time to create the design effects its cost as well. The more the intricate the design the higher the cost. Usually, the smaller the piece determines a higher cost to create since more cuts are involved and the area of work is more detailed in a small space.
