Choose a color:
blue | red | purple | orange | yellow | green | white | black | neutral
Blue has a calming effect on the body. It creates a relaxed ambience and lowers
blood pressure, heart and pulse rates. In hot climates, it has a cooling effect
on those who enter the room. A good choice for the living room and bedroom,
because blue is tranquil and peaceful. But if yours is a cold climate, you
may want to add in some sunny accents for warmth and contrast.

Red is a warm color that raises the body temperature. Because it is so psychologically
stimulating, it is best to restrict your use of this powerful color to highlights
throughout the house. Small doses of the fire engine hue to wake-up an entry
or turn-up the heat in a room. Better limit this color to accents in the kitchen.

Purple Combining the passion of red and the calmness of blue, sensual purple
is a great accent color for the bedroom. This hue will leave you feeling content.
Also a good choice for the family room, because purple is a color of comfort.
A darker shade of purple creates mystery, but a lighter shade is a romantic
color for the bedroom.

the appetite. It also reduces fatigue, so that the cook
can tackle chores with more vigor. Cheers, commands, conversation and charity.

Yellow Brighten dark hallways with yellow, the most visible and stimulating
of all colors. However, do not paint the entire room yellow- it will make people

White is the color of purity and a favorite of many people. It is a neutral
color, and is suitable anywhere. White makes a room look clean and airy, but
tends to be in the background. It, however, energizes and unifies; in combination
scheme white enlivens all other colors.

Black is the color of discipline, authority and strength. An all black room
with silver or stainless steel furniture and finishing looks very masculine.
Subtle gold embellishments in a black environment spells rich and classy. But
too much of this color can be intimidating. Use with discretion in bedroom,
den or bathroom. Black is good to support other colors, though, and a checkerboard
pattern for the floor is evergreen.

Neutrals are non-colors, they neither activate or pacify but combine and cooperate,
bridging together different rooms and colors. They're good transitions woodwork,
trims, hallways, and functional spaces like kitchens and baths, but even living

them.
